Have you told the women you have dated about your LL and if so what was their reaction to it?

I'm curious to know if women who want children would feel disappointed when they find out the man they are with has had LL since her children won't get his height.

It seems like something that should be brought up early on at least in an indirect way.

LOL!!! How exactly would one discuss having had a LL in an indirect way!?!? That conversation would get real and direct, real fast.... Seriously though you're deluding yourself if you think a woman would be like hey by the way, I had a giant crooked nose which my parents paid to get a nose job when I was younger, just wanted to be sure you didn't expect to have attractive kids with me....  People never disclose everything, be it sexual history or plastic surgery or whatever. She's not going to confess to having had a "hoe phase" or give her real body count. Do what you feel is right of course but realize men and women are not so honest that you "should" disclose LL anymore than people should disclose others things they generally do not.

You dont owe them an explanation. They like what they see, so you date you. You dont see people disclosing all their past surgeries with people they date right, so why do you have to? These are the same kind of women who wouldnt give you the time of their day if you were shorter, so screw it.

I would not bring up LL but would try to bring up the topic of height in normal conversation and gauge their attitude towards it. Unforutunately for me my scars are still quite bad almost 10 years later so if they asked about them I'd have to lie and say I had bowed leg correction or something which I don't really want to do.

I never tell anyone about LL.
Have you had romantic partners ask about your scars and if so what'd you tell them?

Exactly.  Women get a million things done and hide it.  I dont see why the double standard.  I dont plan on saying a single thing about my LL if my scar condition lets me get away with it.

No post-LL patient will tell women that they are dating they have done LL. Very few peole in general know about LL in addition.
As for scars, just tell her you have injury for once. Srsly no women know about LL as much as we do.

I forget was this the best scar strategy?:

1. Big thick /raised scars -> pay surgeon (not sure what kind? plastic surgeon? burn specialist surgeon? Forgot already) to have the snipped out / sewed up -> silicone sheet / scar gel -> laser X times until it looks like not much

2. Small scars -> (if after the surgery, silicone sheet/scar gel) -> laser X times

3. If anything from above can't be fully hidden by this -> skin colored tattoo on top of the result

4. If anything still can't be concealed -> actual tattoo, maybe linework on the scars directly (though there are some pro and con arguments tattoo line work, some users don't like too much line work and I somewhat agree)

Are there better strategies? Do I have some false information above?

I think that HeightJourney had some silicone tape + scar gel recommendations from the doctors in Baltimore on his youtube channel?

A plastic surgeon and a burn specialist are very similar.  The general field is called plastic/reconstructive surgery.  I've found that surgeons who specalize in treating burns are generally more willing and able to help with severe scarring regardless of the cause.

Once a scar has been cut out and sewn up properly, doing anything else is usually a waste of money.

Scars will usually fade on their own over time.  Laser treatments are expensive and I think they just speed up the process and don't provide a better end result.

Scar sheets do almost nothing even when they stay on.  Often they'll just get peeled off by your clothes.

Scar gel/cream is snake oil.  Don't buy it.

I have no experience with skin color tattoos.  But I think they probably won't conceal the scars very well when viewed from close-up.

Yeah hm.. I wonder why HeightJourney said he thought they helped to keep the scars flat (I might be misquoting his youtube vid). Maybe I'll PM him or ask him in his diary

Hi I’m searching for some info about lon and latn on tibias for 6cm there are too many contradictory opinions on this forum about these two methods since you are an active member and u have done lon tibias i was wondering why u chose lon and not latn and if u have any information about the permanent knee pain caused by lon would there be no knee pain issues by latn ?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!
15 years after your surgery, do u have knees pain, arthritis, randomly numbness/soreness in your legs? I read some diaries in the forum, but only knew their statuses 1-3 years after the surgeries. Really want to know how about 10 years, 20 years……I don’t want to regret my decision in the rest of my life😫

LON was standard procedure for the doctor I went to.  I could've asked for LATN and gotten it but there wasn't a reason to.  The results from LATN are almost identical.

Minor sensitivity/tendonitis in the patellar tendon.  No numbness but maybe a slight loss of sensation directly over the new bone.  No other issues to report.

Can you elaborate on the part where you said it's like buying something with a high-interest credit card?
Would you do it again if you had the chance to do so?

Do you feel that your body is going to feel worse going forward? Worse than if you just hadn't got that surgery?
