I'm also immersed in the same conundrum recently.

My mother is 158cm and my father is 162cm or so but I'm only 162cm barefoot at night LOL and I'm a 21 y.o boy. That's very peculiar cuz it seems if I was a girl, then my inheritance can be considered as normal but I'm a boy!

I guess that's bc of my early birth(8 months) with low birth weight, and didn't achieve proper treatments such as meditations, hormonal injections or something in time.

But I found no evidences that can prove relevances between short and being SGA,I guess it was more like my intergenerational genetics were working on me(my paternal grandma is 143cm and my maternal is 146cm tall)

Anecdotal but my childhood friend was also born prematurely (8 months) but he is 185cm tall, he was average height and weight for his age until puberty hit. So I think children during their growth can catch up with proper nutrition.

Unfortunately I didn't catch up the growth even with good nutritions and it seems like not premature birth's crime.

That's likely not the root of your problem. Genetics are likely to blame here. People who suffer from delayed puberty, hormones or whatever are shown to catch up once proper conditions are achieved (they don't grow faster, but their puberty lasts longer to make up for the lost years).

Kids don't always end up taller than their parents, that's a matter of luck.
My parent's are both 5'5, I got to 5'8 and my brother got to 5'10, but that's cause we were lucky, my sister only got to 5'3.
So basically, you ending up at your father's height means that you're likely within your genetical predisposition, it's unlikely that there's been any loss here.

Seems like the pediatricians are having controversies over this? I googled this question for several times and google showed different dicussions to me, and the height statistics from Paris showed that the average height of SGA is around 162cm for males and 148cm for females, and the pediatricians added being SGAs will probably destine the babies to be in the -2.5SD range under average heights. But the other party is also researching some statistics countering the former conclusions and confirm that being SGAs will be destined to get far lower heights is bs and heights will be destined by genetics and nutritions mostly, the same as your opinions.

Then what if I tell you my post is not a resort for your questions? But 8cm is totally possible if you can assure it after browsing Limb Lengthening Experience module.

All right thx. I don't think the blames should be on me either cuz I have done everything I should do. BTW I don't think transgender is a weird thing deserving special attentions or something
