I think you just contradicted yourself in the same point haha. We are doing this to satisfy society's discrimination against our preceived short stature.
I don't care about what other people think about having a cosmetic limb lengthening surgery, but I care a bit about how people would threat me for being short.
But I would like to be taller because of me, I would like to be taller just because I like it.
CLL (well done) is good, it allows people to have the body that they want.
I don't want to live in a body that I don't want, and a lot of short people too. Those people and me would be happier being taller and this surgery would allow it. Being short increases the chances of committing suicide and "get therapy / hit the gym / get counselling / buy shoelifts / move to another country / just develop a new skill / buy an expensive house, phone, car or bike / buy certain clothes / get a certain haircut" don't work, because those "tricks" don't make you taller, maybe some of them make you apparently taller, but that is not a physical height, so I don't need them. Another "tricks" try to mask your unhappiness with unneeded luxury, so that would not work for me. Therapy also doesn't work for me. I want real stature, just like other people are, not "stature-tricks".
There is nothing wrong about giving people the opportunity of being taller, stronger, smarter...
Instead of keeping CLL "underground", it's better to give people proper information about limits, how avoid risks, advice, advantages or disadvantages of methods...
Being taller will make people happier, a lot of people is sad due their short stature.
I hope that the prices go down, at least in most of countries including EU.
Stop overthinking
I agree, stop overthinking, CLL becoming main stream don't affect people who don't get the surgery.
