Questions about rejection after tests/when to pay
« on: September 27, 2021, 08:49:29 PM »

Say you are going with Giotikas and you are from USA

I heard you do the tests shortly before the surgery.

1. When should you pay for the surgery to be safe? It seems like if you are rejected for the surgery because of the test results, it would be awkward to get the money back?

2. If you do not think you will get rejected, what is the optimal strategy of when to pay? Should you still try to pay several months in advance? I vaguely remember someone saying something about transferwise needing multiple transfers which coudl take time.

Giotikas can answer both of these questions for you in a consultation

1. That concern should not be on your mind, I'm sure he would refund the money

2. A deposit is required of around $500 before the surgery then the full amount is to be paid before the surgery. I would talk to your bank as most have a wire limit transfer per day.

My surgery was 9/14.  I paid the $1600 deposit when I booked the surgery date. I paid the balance after my appointment on 9/13 in the afternoon by international wire transfer by logging into my online banking and emailed the confirmation to the athensbjr email.

Giotikas is pretty good at this. When Stryde was recalled a day before my planned surgery, he offered full refund immediately without any hesitation and gave me the option to decide what I wanted to do. I wouldn't be worried about this at all.

ty!! What do people typically do for booking the place they will stay at for 3 months? Seems like if they get rejected for the surgery after an in person examination that they would eat some kind of penalty for cancelling the booking with the place they stay at for 3 months in Athens?

What would you suggest?

You are in a very negative mindset, you need to be more positive, I don't think anyone has been rejected for this surgery before

Giotikas will not bring you to Athens or ask you to make arrangements for accommodation if he is not 100% sure that you are "good to go" for surgery. He makes this decision at your online consultation months or weeks before your surgery. It is pretty straightforward for pure cosmetic patients, but if he has any doubts or concerns he will ask you to send him x-rays and scans before you come to Athens or make any bookings.

hey would probabaly do very basic blood tests, like a blood picture, hiv, hepatitis b etc... you can have them beforehand at your own place and see if theres any abnormality. hopefully they should be fine. here in india they dont cost anything more than 3000 inr or (40 usd).
