I've posted before, but now I have pretty much definitively decided this needs to happen this summer. I get my invisalign in shortly, and not long after I'd like to be doing my surgery. Originally I was considering bejing for tibia's, but decided that I'd rather go with internal femurs and lengthen approx 3 inches with a reputable doctor as I understand recovery is faster, scarring is minimal, and a larger gain generally achievable(not to mention aesthetically I want longer strides).
Therefore I am stuck deciding between Dr. Paley or Dr. Guichet, the former of which because he has done so many operations and is US based(which could potentially involve savings with PT, x rays, and meds), and the latter mainly because of shy shy's amazing recovery after a very similar gain to what I am shooting for.
My plan would be to do lengthening asap(having to probably travel back once to US from wherever to get my new invisalign trays which I dont think I can work around, lengthen for the three months, then use a fourth month away from my roomates/life at home to start walking properly to leave some ambiguity to my operation(how realistic is pulling that off?), then I would dedicate my time predominantly to recovery and getting back in the gym and adding mass to my new frame.
Down the road, pending on my happiness and recovery post LL I would consider shooting for another 2 inches on tibs to reach 6 1.
How realistic is this do you guys think? And which of the dr.'s do you think I should go with in my case.
