External femur
« on: September 06, 2021, 05:51:30 AM »

Has anyone done external femur here? If yes, can you name their diaries? I wish to read'em. Also, why is it that some docs outright tell you not to do it, yet some docs literally lengthen 7.5 cm there(buldu). Even sarin told me to only lengthen max 5 cm when he literally talks about 10 cm on the tibias which is insane. I would never cross 6 or 6.5 on tibia. Name a few docs who do it, have successfully done it and their patients' names

The scarring of the muscles surrounding the femur can lead to a permanent loss of knee ROM, and it's terribly painful. Even if a complete recovery is possible, many doctors don't want to put a patient in that much pain or deal with the mess of complications that can/will arise with externals.

I haven't followed any of the external femur patient experiences though, so others will be better at pointing you in the right direction.

Meck endured and accomplished external femur but in the procedures he encountered with rehab problems in his hotel and couldn't walk with horrendous immanent pains but fortunately his rehabs were excellent(I dunno wanna dispute over this with another idiot cuz his FB,instagram, videos and selfies were the solid proofs unless you want him to do a Thomas rotation or Chinese Kongfu in front of you).
But the rest of diaries won't mostly recommend you external femurs cuz they really suck with acute pains, scarrings, and bad rehabs.
