Yeah. I had seen that Indian guy's case. Broke my heart. He was on top of his life. If he had the money I wonder why he didnt go to Paley. Anyone with money should never ever ever think about anyone except Paley imho. Betz and guithcetz(or whatever his name I) both look shady AF. They tomorrow might claim they can lengthen 50 kilometers in 3 hours or something lol.
But have you seen any other death? The Indian kid died because of embolism. I have no plans of going on an aeroplane after the surgery. I don't think it was the surgeon's fault. I mean it was but it wasn't a surgical mistake.
However, according to the website for the New York-based Institute for Limb Lengthening & Reconstruction, the development of a pulmonary embolism is a rare, but possible, risk: “Pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis... are rare with [limb lengthening] surgery, but they can occur and could lead to sudden shortness of breath, chronic leg swelling and even death.” The Paley Orthopedic and Spine Center in Florida says on its website that “prevention is key” and that it sends “each patient home with a prescription for an anticoagulation drug” to prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms.
I was perplexed why some idiots were accusing Guichet or other surgeons of no embolism prophecies and by accident they had sent some patients into the hell.
Prescriptions had addressed that pulmonary embolisms are possible but rare so this Indian boy was not compelled into this surgery and he had reconciled with potential risks successfully and there was no subjective crimes to be blamed onto Guichet and other surgeons.
If you are afraid of the forest wolves, just don't go out into the forest at night.
