Do your parents/families/friends know you did/are doing LL?
« on: August 31, 2021, 12:34:22 AM »

I read news that some people had to do LL in secret. Their parents won't like them do it even it's not the parents who paid for it. Because parents think it's still harmful and unnatural to grow taller in that way. When you did LL, did you tell your parents? How did you convince them?

I let my parents know after I arranged and paid already. As a free living person I don't ask for permission for my decisions.
If someone guesses right, I let them know or see if they can be fooled, just because it's entertaining.
Some relatives know because they ask how everyone's doing, so naturally it was mentioned during my stay at the parents house.

The size of deal you make out of it is the deal it becomes, that's my opinion.

I see. Or just tell parents that I feel better doing LL, it helps my confidence. That is another good way to convince them.

I'd say my parents haven't know my plan on LL cuz they are maintaining

this surgery is an alien surgery which can cause severe athletic

problems such as paralysis.

Also they think it's worthless to waste any time on struggling for tall cuz

men's reputations,social abilities,fortunes are playing more valuable

roles in their perspectives which I think ridiculous cuz family conditions

and scholastic educations determine how far ppl can go for their lives

and actually there's nothing but brainwashing ourselves to activate us

into more determinant life missions.

Confucianism is one reason why many parents in Asia, especially China, HK, Taiwan, Japan and Korea, want their kids to study hard and get a good degree from university so they can get a decent job. Some people even though they are adults still have to listen to their parents before they do something adventurous, like LL.

The only person who knows that I suffer from height neurosis is my mother, she is the only one who has seen me put platforms on my shoes, my father doesn't know (I'm too embarrassed) and not to mention other people. This surgery for my mother is as if it were a procedure that would leave me crippled for life, when I have talked to her about it, she instantly makes a face of horror as if it were euthanasia, she does not support me, just if I tell her that I am going to travel to have surgery, I know that she would have a heart attack or a nervous breakdown. That is why I have not made the decision to go, because I have no support from anyone, my only option is to do it in secret, but I am very worried about not having good mobility once I finish lengthening....
