So this might be a stupid question...but say, if a marathon was on your bucket list. Is this no longer an option after limb lengthening?
Has anyone ran in a marathon after lengthening and completed?

Paley has said he has had people run marathons less than a year after starting lengthening.  You won’t win any marathons, though I’m sure you can successfully complete one.

I finished lengthening in April. I’m back in the gym since August and can do squats and deadlifts without any issues. Obviously the weights I lift is half of what used to be before the surgery, but once the bone is fully consolidated, I’m fairly certain I’ll get very close to my pre-surgery numbers.

Your ability to run a marathon is just as much dependent on your cardiovascular strength as your bone/ soft tissue strength. Bones consolidate and soft tissue can be stretched and strengthened. Unless you intend to compete at professional levels, most people should be able to return to their regular sports as long as they follow the doctor’s recommendation and lengthen within reasonable amount.

Hello dude. You're done with your lengthening? Please tell me the Russian guy you went to. How much did he charge? Was it LON or was it ilizarov? How did you go about it? I've heard Russian docs are quite adamant and don't care about their patients because Russians in general are tough crazy dudes. Even bears, lions, tigers and Godzillas fear the Russians. Lol.
