For many of us, this is a very private endeavor and it's a secret we will take to our graves. Even if you are unsure of telling people, it's best to delay it for as long as possible until you are very sure, because you can never untell something you've already told.
So I have made an assessment on where you might get the highest amount of privacy.
Dr Mahboubian, Dr Debiparsad
They operate out of clinics that aggressively market this procedure. If someone searches for them on the internet, it will take them seconds to figure out that there are into CLL. Even their clinics are named based on this: LimbplastX, Height Lengthening. They also have active social media accounts where they advertise this procedure.
They are both based in the US, so they are legally bound to keep your details private, but mistakes can happen.
There is the remote possibility that someone you know sees you visit the clinic and they immediately know what you are up to.
If there is ever a data breach of some sort at these places it's like a honeypot of just CLL patient data.
Dr Paley, Dr Rozbruch, Dr Assayag
I think these doctors are the best for privacy because CLL is only a minor part of their practice. They don't do social media marketing stuff. They work out of established medical centers and probably use the best medical management software out there. Even if someone sees that you went to HSS or St Mary's Center or Sinai hospital they would have no clue as to why.
Indian, Russian, Vietnamese, etc doctors
I don't know if there laws in these countries which require privacy protection but I believe that it's not a default notion there. Privacy is usually not a high priority in developing nations. Even if there were laws, it would probably be extremely hard to get them enforced. I also doubt they use good medical record management software and probably rely on emails. Also, if you wish to use Precice nails in these countries you have to cross some red tape which means you need to take permission from the government. So even the government knows you are getting this done.
Turkey
No idea about the privacy laws there, but if you went through one of these medical tourism companies which day in and out post photos and videos of their patients I think there is a possibility of a mistake happening somewhere. Where do they store their photos and videos? On employees' phones? Are the employees even medical staff? Are there protocols on how to protect privacy of patients?
European doctors
I mean doctors like Dr Giotikas, Dr Kohne, Dr Thaller, Dr Betz. EU and UK laws have strict privacy provisions. Additionally, if these doctors maintain your records in a foreign language, it might be safe from the English speaking world.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, I think in terms of privacy alone it's best to either go to one of the European doctors or Dr Rozbruch or Dr Paley or Dr Assayag.
