Help with Leg Lengthening
« on: June 18, 2021, 07:25:23 AM »

I’ve been lurking here on the forum for awhile now and I’ve finally decided I want to go ahead and get leg lengthening done. I’m currently about 170 cm and I’ve had height neurosis for as long as I can remember. I was always the short kid and then I finally hit a pretty decent growth spurt in high school but I only got to 170 cm which is a little below average in America. Everyone around me including family and friends are 6+ besides my brother who is 5’11. I just can’t get rid of the height neurosis. I’ve tried putting shoe lifts in my shoes and that helps a TON but only for a short amount of time because it’s hard to walk in lifts for extended sessions and it would also be embarrassing if someone found out. When I do wear lifts I often completely forget about height which is normally something I’d never do, but like I said it is hard to always walk in them and I don’t see it as a long term solution. I’m currently 18 and I have around 2k in personal saving but I’m projected to earn around 14-20 thousand in disposable income based on my current salary and savings plan. I’m incredibly motivated to get this done and I’ve already applied and been approved for new lines of credit so I can boost my credit score in preparation for a loan I intend to take out to help cover the cost. I’m looking to have 14-20 thousand in savings to cover the surgery and the loan to cover the accommodations and other expenses, so this limits my options and as a result I’ve decided I want to go with either Dr. Parihar or Dr. Shah in India. I don’t want to do a crazy 25 cm or anything like that I just want a reasonable and safe 5-6 cm in my tibias and I’m not sure if I should go for pure externals to completely rid myself of the risk of chronic knee problems or go for LON for reduced time in frames. KiloKahn is someone I look up to and I’ve read his diary twice now and towards the end he almost regretted not going for LON so I’m not sure if I should risk the knee pain or play it safe with pure externals. From what I’ve read the insertion of the nail always leads to cutting the patellar tendon which just doesn’t seem good to me at all. Aside from wanting your opinions on pure externals or LON how much should I plan to spend on accommodations based on my lengthening goal? I’m confident I can have the money in a years time if the price is in the 20-30k range but any more and I’d be looking at waiting 2 years for the surgery. I want to get this done and I want to get it done right so any feedback is welcome and when I get this done I’ll be sure to make a diary.

Yes I’ve gotten all that sorted and I know I’m done growing.
