old people who did this
« on: April 29, 2021, 12:14:57 PM »

are there old patients (50 and 60 plus) who do this procedure and feel fine? are there public examples in the internet? kevin debiparshad's public patients are all young.

the reason I ask is, I have this doubt in my mind that after you become 60 if youve done this surgery at a young age you might see some "degeneration" of tissues leading to weakness or paralysis.

so if we can see old people doing this and recovering then we shouldnt have no reason to believe anything terrible will happen to young people when they get old (other than arthritis which is wear and tear but thats not concern of this thread. the focus here is degeneration of tissues)

StrydeNailChallenge is 49/50. He is an anomaly though. Just an extremely motivated and fit person and unrealistic recovery for the vast majority of people.

Ok; I have not done the surgery but meet the “old” people criteria since I’m 50! 😂 And still planning on it; I have personally spoken with one of Dr. D’s patients who did CLL - both femurs - at 62 or 63! He recovered just fine and had nothing but positives to say, although he acknowledged it’s not a walk in the park at any age.  For what it’s worth, I didn’t assess him as a schill by any means.  I also agree though that SNC is a super freak in terms of recovery and speed - a hall of fame at any age for sure

63? That's amazing. what physical activities did you see him do? Did he have any limitations? How much did he lengthen? What was his start height?

Did not see much in the way of physical activities so it’s through his subjective account.  No mentioned limitations. Starting height was about 5’6.5” to almost 5’9.5 (maybe a little less). I think he did 7 cm overall and didn’t stop for any physical or recovery reason; he just felt tal enough and wanted to consolidate. He was an athlete as a youth. While age can be a factor on anything physical, I don’t think it had any Impact on his overall recovery.
