Enjoy the photos below.

Hey do you have a diary? I am interested in your journey. How long did you have the nails in, how much did you lengthen and where/what doctor did you choose?

I don’t really have 1 diary in 1 place but you can just go to my username and search my old posts. It’s all on there.

I had the nail in since august 2019 and got it out a few days ago so April 2021, around 1 year 9 months, which is too long given these nails rust -_-, and it’s painful too.

If there is 1 doctor I would recommend it would be Dr Lee, the first doctor I went to isn’t someone I would recommend, you can see why through my old posts, would rather not rehash it again.

How is your left leg doing Marathon? Has the balance improved?

Sort of, its not at 100% but it's ok for everyday use. I think I need to really stretch the calf muscles, for both legs, to get the mobility back. Now I gotta deal with the osteolysis from having the rusty nail in my leg for so long.

At first I was like.. why is my bone swelling a bit, is it cause I put too much weight on it or what is going on, but it was painless so I ignored it. I didn't fix it until it was really painful. I always do this -_- fix it at the last minute.

Now that both nails are out, and the healing process has begun, let's see how much I can get back to 100%.

There is still a tiny piece of broken screw in my left leg because the Singapore doctor used screws that were too thin, and it's in a position that is hard to get out.. so dunno what I will do with that. I will ask Dr Lee later after covid restrictions are lifted and I can fly to Korea. I was told it's no problem.. but still I dont like having foreign objects in there, if I can get it out safely without damaging any nerves or whatever, then I will.

The LL gods really gave me the middle finger with this surgery, even at the end had to deal with a rusty nail. -_- If I think about it I think the swelling started around December/January which is around 1 year and 4 to 5 months which means the rust started around that time... not even 1.5 years and there was rust on the nail... the LL gods hate me lol.

marathon runner. i read through your posts and saw you had a bad taste of Lee in terms of not wanting to fix your tibia slight misalignment. are you still upset about that and want to fix that or does it not impact your life that much and isn't worth fixing? i'd imagine it's still probably worth fixing eh? maybe arthritis in the future, though I doubt it.

cheers, thanks for the pictures of the rusted nails!

To be honest not sure the health effects, but in my xrays my bone started to swell and after a few months I started to get internal pain similar to a bone infection. You can actually see the swelling from the outside of the leg.

Before I finally got the nail out the pain was quite excruciating but now that it is out it feels much better. Just waiting for the swelling to go down.

Not that upset, yes it's always better to have them fully straight but daily life it doesnt impact as much. But for like sprinting or doing any kind of more strenuous exercise it does kind of affect it since I still feel like the balance is a bit off. Maybe its something I need to adjust to? Or maybe I need to stretch more? I dont know really.

Arthritis.. I hope not lol. No idea what kind of effects itll have in the future, now just waiting to heal from the holes from getting the nails out and from the osteolysis. So will be back to exercising at full speed in around 6 weeks from now.

Maybe getting the nails out will improve my flexibility? I dont know, I just got them out couple days ago so too early to tell.
