Proportions and Photo
« on: April 23, 2021, 06:29:02 AM »

So I've been lurking on these forums for some time now as well and wanted to post a mockup.

My standing height is 5'11 (+ 0.5" morning height).

My wingspan is 6'5.5 (crazy I know).

I was projected to be 6'4 growing up but sadly never reached that height.
I am less concerned about height and more so about proportions and balancing out my long arms. I often get told that I'm not that tall (even at 6'0 with shoes on).
I think this is due to my proportions. The average man is about 7.5-8 heads tall. Given those idealized proportions I think I would look best at 6'3.

Here are my mockups. I'm aiming for 5cm tibia + 5cm Femur. I know I'm already at a decent height but its the proportions thing that bothers me.
I'd like to get a different perspective. What do you guys think?

I think you look great at 6'3. Your arms are incredibly long and look even better after adding 10cm.  Your torso looks short, but in my opinion, many tall black guys have such proportions and it looks very harmonious.  I'm curious, what is your sitting height / inseam length?

Your ethnicity is a blessing for CLL because of the typically longer arms/wingspan. You could lengthen to 6'5 and you still would look great.
The 6'3 looks awesome too of course.
If you are mentally tough enough to do 2 surgeries and recoveries go for it!

Black people have short torso long legs in general. No one will notice a thing

Your proportions will look like Kyle kuzma NBA player on lakers

Yeah I admit that I do have a short torso so that might throw things off. I’ve found that certain outfits tend to make it look longer.

My sitting height is 35.5”
My inseam length is about 30-31”

True. I’ll be able to get through the two surgeries although it will definitely be difficult. I’ve done very difficult, painful, and strenuous things before. What I’ve learned is that you have to focus on the present moment and trick yourself into saying “this is actually easy”. In due time you reach the destination.

Go for it many people have conquered quadrilateral lengthening you can also do it too. I recommend you should read diaries on people who did quad lengthening and what they experienced and how they overcame their problems.

Yeah kuzma has really good proportions. If I could lengthen to his height I would lol.

Oh if I do it I won’t do quadrilateral, that’s a huge load in a short time. I most likely would go for staged procedures 1 year apart.

what I meant by quadrilateral is you get 4 segments done whether its 3 weeks apart, 6 months or 1 year. Yeah staging the procedures 1 year apart would be the best option for pt and recovery.

Ok that makes sense, I always interpreted it to mean getting all four segments done at once.
