Please educate me on realistic goals and proportions.
« on: February 26, 2021, 05:59:08 PM »

Hello, I am 19 years old and 180cm/5ft11 measured by a doctor, and I want to become 190cm/6ft3. So about 10cm/4inch increase. My wingspan is 192cm/6ft3.5 and my feet size is 45 eu (12 us). I have the following questions:

-How safe is it to do 10cm? At what point is the risk too big I could settle for less if needed. Currently I'd like to go 6cm on tibias and 4 cm on femur.
-How is my wingspan compared to the desired height? Is it just right or should i try workout my back and shoulders a bit more for extra gain.
-Would a size 12/45eu shoe look weird on me at 190cm/6ft3?
-Do you think a doctor would actually take me serious and operate me?
-Currently I have enough money to do this sugery in Istanbul with Dr.Halil Buldu any of you have experince with him?

I am planning on doing this sugery at 21 when I have finished my degree and am able to take a year off.

For those wondering why I wan't to be taller; I live in the Netherlands and most guys my age are 185cm-195cm. Please don't try to talk me out of this by telling me how risky and painful it is I am fully aware and prepared to take these risk and undergo the pain.

I'd love to hear from you guys, and appreciate all the help I can get.

No, my fermur is pretty tall compared to my tibas, so I rather do 6cm on tibas and 4 cm on fermur. Unless 6cm on tibias is unrealstic? If so I would do 4cm on tibas and 6 on femur like you said. The best thing is that I could still wear 2inch lifts afterwards so if I end up getting 8 cm instead of 10cm I wont mind it that much. And yeah I have considered doctors in the US aswell but the price is considerable more expensive there, I haven't read bad things about Dr.Halil Buldu so I figured if people here are postive aswell I'd go with him. Also could you maybe answer my other questions? I frequently get ignored, and end up having alot of questions unanswered.

Thank you!

6cm on tibias is very unrealistic. Even 5 is pushing it.

If you have a spare leg you should definitely go to dr. buldu
he can even make you gain 10 cm on tibias, 11 cm on femurs, 12 cm on spine...

Thanks for telling me! I will definitly go for 4cm on tibias then, and 6cm on femur. What's your take on doing these at the same time? Or would it be wiser to do these seperatly. Also I wonder about mobility afterwards, If I do 2 surgeries or 2 bones does that mean my range of motion will be limited more then when doing one bone? I still stay at the safe parameters eg 4cm tibias and 6cm femur. And if not what about 3.5 cm tibias and 5cm femur?

Does it make you feel more powerful criticising those who achieved more than you in life? If you become 10 percent of the man Buldu is in life you would amaze me. Now go back to school and get an education you imbecile.

I am genuinely trying to learn here. I am new to this, making fun of me won't change your own problems. Please be kinder to people that are new and trying to understand the proces better, we're all in the same boat trying to reach the same Island.

I advise you ... not to go over 4cm on tibas... as that would cause you immense long term problems

Got it thank you! After I posted this thread I've done more research and found the safe parameters of tibas and femur, For now I'll go for 3.5 cm tibas and 5cm femur. It kinda depends on what the doctor will say to me. Because if I understood correctly your felxibility and other factors play a big role too. So at max I would do 4cm tibas and 6cm femur but only if the doctor says its safe and realistic. If not I am also happy to as low as 3cm tibas and 5cm femur.

Around 4-5 cm is where tibia get immense struggle due to Achilles tendon reaching near it's limit. I advise to not go beyond 5cm and even 4.5cm is pushing it. If you exceed immensely then you may get ballerina foot where you are essentially permanently tiptoeing. Some doctors do Achilles lengthening surgery which is horrible and permanent effects to strength and athleticism.

How safe is it to do 10cm? At what point is the risk too big I could settle for less if needed. Currently I'd like to go 6cm on tibias and 4 cm on femur.

Plenty safe. But you have to do two segments.

-How is my wingspan compared to the desired height? Is it just right or should i try workout my back and shoulders a bit more for extra gain.

It's fine. But why not workout anyways? Clearly you are obsessed with your appearance.

-Would a size 12/45eu shoe look weird on me at 190cm/6ft3?

No, it is within 1-2 standard deviations. You can go look up the data yourself online.

-Do you think a doctor would actually take me serious and operate me?

Why wouldn't they? A top doc knows height neurosis occurs at any height.

-Currently I have enough money to do this sugery in Istanbul with Dr.Halil Buldu any of you have experince with him?

You need to do more research and save more money. Don't rush into anything hastily, and especially not on the basis of what you have money for in this exact moment.
