Physician allowing PT in hometown
« on: February 11, 2021, 01:59:01 AM »

Do any of the top doctors in US allow you to come back home for the 4 months of lengthening and PT?  Wife and 4 kids so will be very difficult to be away that long or to take them all with me. Currently scheduled somewhere in Nov 21, but they do not offer that option. 4 months instead of 3 because I am in my 50's.

Everyone except Doctor Paley allows at home PT. Many recommend minimum 2 weeks stay though.

Just allow yourself, there are many out there who go back and continue PT at home. Why would that pose a problem?

because the one I went to see and subsequently scheduled with ONLY allows the PT to be done at his facility.  No option to return home for PT and only come back for followups- that is what poses the problem and why I asked.  I did not know there was an alternative.

Just say Doctor Paley. We all know.

Back off.  This was the first question I have ever asked on here and a valid one.  I wasn't familiar with the protocol and if it was appropriate to give specific information and also not necessary in this particular situation.  I have no other reason not to "say" who I went to see.  I am a valid participant in this forum with a real and reasonable question- one that others may have as well to help them with their decision!

Don't take it too seriously lol... I'm chillin... No biggie man not a big deal I don't care lol

Wasn't even trying to attack you one bit nor did it cross my mind for a second, don't worry, we are friends here

Yes it's a valid question bro. Every doc except Paley allows you to do what you prefer, lengthening at home versus the facility

The key is to be able to come back for followups. It is not easy to troubleshoot potential obstacles remotely.
