Hey guys!
My oura ring tracked about 7 hours of sleep tonight and I feel well rested.
i woke up about 3 times at night and I had a burning sensation on my left heel.
It came from the pressure of lying down for a long time, so I stretched my heel out of bed and the burn went away.
Here is, what supplements I do take before I go to sleep.
Hospital gives me: pain med, Magensium
My own suplements before I go to sleep: ashwagandha, theanin and curcuma capsules, cbd+melatonin oil and Mirtazapin(sleeping aid prescribed by another doctor)
Today at about 6:00 am the pain level started to rise slowly (it was 10 hours after the last pain med).
About the hospital:
The hospital is quite small, there are no shops, baker etc but I spend my time 24h/day in my room anyway. the food is ok. I had the possibility to pay more for the room, which would give me more menues to choice from, but I went with the regular food.
the nurses take good care of me. I rarely call them, just when I have to go to the bathroom. I pee in a bottle so I don't have to go to the bathroom often.
Physio:
the first physiotherapy was easy. we pulled my feet towards my body while lying down, tensed my muscles a bit and raised and bent my legs and we made of course my first steps.
Dr Koehne also showed up. He also recommended an exercise and said it would be best if I already lay my legs close together and not spread them while laying, even if spreading them is more comfortable.
I follow the instructions exactly and do not try to do any more, as this could also be counterproductive.
Update
Dr Koehne was just here, and showed me some new stretching exercises. The surgery took about 3,5 hours. He explained that its not about to be the fastest, but to make it as minimal invasive as possible, so the patients have less pain, swelling, etc...afterwards.
