Walking 100% normally without pain, for 6-8 hours
« on: October 09, 2020, 04:55:41 PM »

This is the one of the few fears I have about the surgery. Will I be able to walk normally after a year or so after the surgery? Will there be pain in my legs if I stand for too long? as even right now I haven’t done the surgery but if I stand for long hours my legs start hurting but I am not used to standing for long hours so maybe that’s why. Could someone please tell me from their personal experience of standing for 8 or maximum 10 hours is possible after doing the sugery. After a year or so.

For me it’s a chefs job so I won’t be walking for too long, just standing for long hours. Not much heavy lifting or anything either. Please reply someone honestly, as I don’t want to work sitting down.

It wasn't a problem for the first several years, but now standing for long hours makes my feet hurt.  Not sure if it's LL or just age-related, though. :(

I think standing in one spot for a long time is going to hurt anyone, but the pain could certainly be exacerbated by LL.

Thank you, if I may ask what’s your age. Also I fully understand it’s normal to feel pain, for standing too long

Thank you, exactly what you said, I hope the pain won’t be too much. Well right now I am not working everyday as I am a student. So once I work full time, hopefully I’ll get used to it and it won’t hurt much even after LL. ty for reply
