I think it's because those heights are "square". 5'7 for example is less square.

5'6 is often considered a "bad" height, but I would think most of the women who swipe right to 5'6 are shorter.

That's a bull  and fallacious conclusion. The only reason 5'8 and 5'6 would be swiped more would be if they have an attractive face better than the taller matches and not the height lol. The ideal height range is 5'11" – 6'4", 5'10" to 6'5" still being good. Ideal and attractive height is about 6'1". 5'6 is nowhere is the realm of attractiveness on its own, much less better than 6ft.

I get what you're saying about them sounding "square" haha. But it's very unlikely that's the reason and such sounding numbers don't necessarily sound better, 6ft - 6ft 1 for instance don't have that element

That would mean that shorter guys tend to have attractive faces. I've seen that hypothesis pop up once in an incel forum. At least when it comes to this forum, a lot of posters claim they are attractive lol.

The shorter guys in the sample, sure. Anecdotally very tall people don't have very good facial development (?) and proportions and look awkward but in regular tall people and normal height to short people I wouldn't expect that to hold really. On the forum I think you're talking about the self reported average is 182 cm and every third poster is 6'2 apparently lol. Just because of that relatively small sample you cannot conclude shorter people tend to have better looking faces.

178cm-188 cm is the legitimate best height. NO cap.

btw, if you think you have to be 190cm at least, you suck brother. 185cm is also as good as 190cm. Nobody even notices.

You don't need to be tall to be atracttive LOL at 178 you will be definetely NOT short, your height wont be an advantage NEITHER a disadvantage

As a 178 cm guy I can say that, live with this height is generally comfortable, never felt like a short guy, maybe only do feel not tall enough few times, like "if I was 5-10 cm taller life would be better"

178,5cm completely happy with height..but i admit my goal was 180cm.

As preferred height id say 175-185 that would be optimal
