Hi Guys!
This is my first LL forum. Two weeks ago, I had never thought about LL because it sounds like surgery from Mars. Btw I'm Chinese and LL is banned and so is Google, so all the previous videos I've seen of LL are terrifying. Then one day I stumbled across a LL animation and I found out all of this. It's actually a pretty mature surgery in some way and it's not exactly complicated as well, compared with like surgeries in the knee or something. Also, I'm referring to 6 and under surgery only, one section of the leg in a experienced hospital like Greece and Germany, tibia or femur, not talking about both cause that is a completely different story.
I have been taking this LL very seriously in the past few days, but is still very hesitant and here are the reasons why:
1. No , it's very expensive, if I do it its either Athens most possibly (Reasonable price), or Germany because its orthopedics is one of the best in the world but too expensive. Btw what's the difference between the BETZ bone technology comparing with the Precise stryde? They seem kind of similar to me.
2. I am living fine without it, never had issues finding women, I have a very stable relationship with my girl. But height has always been something i really wanted. One, my dad is taller than me and that sucks!! Growing up, both of my parents always told me to grow taller, we want you to be taller, look at your friend bla bla bla bla. Two, to face the facts, 172cm is borderline short and I'm just generally not happy with it. I believe its takes a lot to be human for once, and WHY NOT!! YOLO!!! 6 months in total to get back to normal with a new life and you can live the rest with so much more satisfaction! Ive just turned 24
3. I have not found on the forum one single person that has proven themselves to recover after LL. Of course, you see replies here and there like i have fully recovered but they disappear and leave no evidence that they did it. Most diaries just stopped updating and I really want to talk to somebody that has had it for at least 2 years.
4. It sounds CRAZYYYYYYYYYYY!! Literally breaking your legs for another few inches of height, and have you guys seen the surgery on youtube? Its like rough carpentry! Drills saw, and stuff like that.
5. I'm very healthy never had a major illness in my life. I work out everyday, enjoy hiking, and play a lot of basketball. I understand there is a cost to everything, and I see my self as a pretty dedicated person. I've been working out 1 hour every day for the past 6 years, I think I'll be able to keep up with the PT. But once again, I wish to talk to somebody who has had this for some time. I want to know how your doing, hows jumping, hows running, hows walking, does your leg hurt when its cold, do you permanently have the duck walk.
Andddddd that's about it. I wish the kind people in this forum can give me experience and suggestions, a lot of people NEED these answers, its not even about curiosity anymore, these suggestions will actually mean a lot to someone across the world. So please be honest!!
Thank you, I hope your guys are doing well in this chaotic time
