Hi guys,
I've opened this topic to understand something I've read very often in this forum. How can you say "I want to keep the LL surgery secret"? I mean, I'm not judging the choice about don't tell it to anyone, but how is it possible? This could be possible if and only if you are a teenager, or if you live alone and far from your hometown or if you have no friends.
If you don't live in a big city and you have a group to go around with, i think it's almost impossible. Maybe you can avoid telling it to everyone, but everyone will notice it and probably will ask about it; you can just deny everything, but they will know there's something different in you and they will find weird your behavior.
At the begin I had no problem about it. Everybody in the world can modify his own body as they prefer under surgery; tits, nose, fat...I don't see a so huge difference. Despite this, I've started thinking that someone may have regretted about it.
Sincerely I don't give about it, I put in the first place the LL surgery because my mental well-being comes before the people judgment and I don't want to deprive me of something just for the people thoughts.
Do you have any personal experience or thinking about this topic?

Yep, it's like you said.  You can move away and start a new life to keep it a secret.

If I'd been happy with my life, I'd never have done the surgery in the first place, so it wasn't a hard decision to make.

Is it what you have done after your LL?
In my view even if it’s very annoying to let know about it to the people, the main goal should be go on with the life, not trying to escape from the problem for the rest of the years like a murderer who want to avoid prison.
I would know if there’s somebody who regretted the (inevitable) confession or reggette d ti having stayed in their hometown.

Personally I don't see a problem in telling people I added 4 inches to my height. I think LL surgery might go main stream down the line. Plus it'll take my porpotions off my mind being able to just tell people I got the surgery cause I wanted to.

That's what I wanted: an escape from the problem of being a short person.  What's the point of breaking your legs, enduring all that pain, spending all that money, opening up the possibility of health problems in the future, just to be the stretched out short guy who's now also the weird guy who had the extreme surgery?

To be honest i dont know if a 5cm increase is really noticable.If you go with 3 inches and above i think it will be obvious.

So, from experience, I can say that with a couple inches, many people will notice there is something different about you, but can't figure it out.  The exception is if you crossed somebody's eye line.

For most people, you can give an explanation that will suffice, e.g., "Yeah, I lost a lot of weight. Thanks for noticing!"

Yea you're right. It's almost impossible to hide it. Not only will you be away for a few months due to the surgery and lengthening process but when you come back, you'll still need more months to get back to normal. I had to tell my friends and relatives cuz they were asking questions. Luckily, it's not a big problem for me since I just turned 19 and I'll be going to college in fall. So, I will have a fresh start anyway. I couldn't have had the surgery a better time since now because of covid-19 I'll have more months to recover.

That's what I mean. Maybe you could prefer to don't but I think that the most important thing is not embarassed about it, being self-confident even in a choice like this.

So if you see a girl with a beautiful face but in the past she had a bad nose you do not appreciate her? What if you see a big breast woman and you know she went under surgery? You are undeniably taller, even if it's due to a trick. Guys, I don't see how much people take care of all these things.

Every surgery is different.  A nose-job is a slight re-shaping of cartilage and bone, not really that big of a deal.  More towards the middle of the spectrum is the breast implant.  A natural female breast is going to move and funciton differently than a half-basketball slid into her chest in an operating room, which is why a lot of pornographic whebsites have sections for natural women only.  And the worst of them all is LL, because what height gives a person is a projection of power and dominance.  If someone finds out that it's a lie obtained through surgery and not genetics, you're like the Wizard of Oz.  An insecure tinpot dictator trying to act big and important by breaking your legs.  They will think less of you than if you had just stayed short.

For some people, objectively speaking, undergoing LL is nothing more than another branch of personal development.

If there is an aspect of your life that can be improved and makes sense to be improved, then the person who does LL is actually someone with a success oriented mindset, and a healthy self-esteem.

It would actually be weird to decline LL, if there are "only" upsides (Excluding the dangers. There is danger to so much more in life than just LL). It would not make sense to not do LL, if you move from below average to average, and from out of proportions to a proportional body.

In my mind I'm wondering how the majority of the world prefers to live a worse version of their life, than what is possible, in regards to all aspects in life that are withing the circle of one's own influence and capabilities, not just LL.
LL simply falls into the same category.

This is my answer, if the question were to arise.
