these times have shown a glimpse of life during LL
« on: March 24, 2020, 09:45:31 PM »

with many places and countries in lockdown, with many people force to stay in their homes due to the virus, we can see a glimpse of going through LL :) confined to a room or house, doing the same things every day. little social contact apart from phone calls.

I cannot imagine how hard it must be to prolong this for months and with broken legs and being in pain and often in fear and having trouble sleeping.

Having done LL recently, September 2019, only to finish and then start quarantine with COVID 19 months later has been a blessing and a curse LOL. A blessing in the sense that I have a few more months to hide from the public and recover and a curse in that I'm still hiding out like I was during LL.

The current state of life is a good intro to the LL life but it's still a world's apart. With LL, you are in a constant state of dull pain and mentally you are drained from the resources your body needs to dedicate to rebuilding the bone as well as the lack of sleep so you pretty much can't do any cognitive thinking. Similarities are deriving joy out of mind numbing activities like watching Youtube lol.

True this coronavirus lock down time can really help you realize the isolation aspect. TheAlchemist is right, meticulous therapy, distraction and just overall recovery can be a drain. BUT thankfully majority of intense pain and trouble sleeping should dissipate within first 2 weeks  ;)
