Hello Guys.
So im currently 18 years of age and im standing at 173cm of height, and seeing how many girls stand taller than me especially when they wear high heels and how many men stand real tall (including my friends which are all above 185cm) bothers me, added to the fact that my father is even taller than me at 177!!!!

So I've been researching and I soon realized that all this pills are a scam (i found ayurvedic urea but i have my doubts on that), therefore leaving me with the only option of doing surgery. I would want to reach a height of at least 180cm ideally 183cm, but im afraid of the surgery itself, the epidural anesthesia looks really scary  :'(... But my question is will adding around 7-10cm of height be safe, how will my proportions look alright or with they look worse, will i be able to continue playing competitively soccer at a high level? (or football call it however you prefer :D).

For now i have researched Dr.Betz and seems to be a really nice doctor with the simplest and least intrusive method, but guys what do you think. I really want to become taller since height is so important now a days and people are growing and honestly i feel like life would be way better standing taller.

What do you think guys?
Thank you for your time :D

You're only 18 are you sure you're done growing? I know some people that grew past 21 (not too common but happens). Focusing on awesome nutrition, flexibility and strength training could possibly more beneficial at the moment. But...

Regarding your other questions, proportions will depend on your current torso, arm and current leg length. You can always add muscle strategically to various body parts to help with proportions (more muscle on limb could appear less tall and lanky).

As far as playing sports I'm a strong believer in being able to make a full recovery if you truly want to by working your tail off via intense therapy beyond what they prescribe, scaled strength and flexibility training and adjusting/adapting to your new height.

The method you get done would depend on your budget, etc. but I agree with germanlim, stryde has made huge progress in the LL procedure.

Will you be able to play soccer well after LL with Betz? Yes. Competitively? Almost 100% probably not.
