Worst or most difficult LL cases seen in America
« on: January 25, 2020, 06:40:30 AM »

LL patients who did LL in the US - what were worst or difficult experiences of other patients that you know of?

Here are the ones I Know from reading diaries:

1- fallen784 with Dr. Mahboubian had to go to emergency room because he mixed some very serious medications (pain killer and mental health medication). He also had a false alarm with leg pain which he thought was fat embolism and he rushed to ER again. it turns out he had fat emboli but it wasn't serious.
2- one guy from old forum with Dr. Paley had a terrible experience related to constipation. he had to call 911
3- MyEvolution had preconsolidation and had to get re-osteotomy

But most patients don't write diaries. So can patients please tell us of cases you saw while you were doing LL where there were major problems?

Just trying to prepare for the worst  ;)

BilateralDamage of Paley had PE soon after surgery and sent to ICU but recovered well
DoingItForMe of Paley seems that he had non-union with femurs, no full consolidation after 2 years, but stopped writing diaries for a few years now, never know what happened
