Evidence that Asians are more likely to have complications?
« on: December 15, 2019, 05:26:51 AM »

I’ve seen this mentioned once or twice in comments, and was wondering if there was any evidence/study that pointed to this, and if so, which complications precisely... unless this were just anecdotal claims. I am half Korean and have not read this anywhere except in comments

I personally believe most pakistanis (asians), afghans (asians), Indians (who are also Asians) who are especially from the northern, some eastern (except northeast India which is a different race) and most western parts and most of the Middle Eastern people (arabs etc.) are even less likely (and have better strength) like stronger bones, better immunity and ability to heal faster than other races/geographies (next strongest with recovery ability, bone strength etc. are whites). These people are of a same particular race - i don't know what to call it but lets say some kind of middle eastern/indo european race. But again it is not all people from these areas, only certain people , because there has been lot of melting, mixing etc. in these areas and these areas are not racially homogeneous like japan or finland.
So, I don't buy into this argument. If you are referring to specific parts of Asia, maybe - I can't say about that. And yes, I have enough reason and data (and the data is from multiple western research papers, articles from European and american white researchers) to believe what I am saying, but I don't want to start an argument (not worth it). Note - note to fellow Indians and all here - please do not take my answer wrongly, I do not mean to say anything negetive for any other parts of India or any other part or race or people in this world, just like the poster here is also not trying to say anything bad, it is just based on similarity of geneology - where Middle eastern/arab type genes (people) have been proven to be strongest of all races in terms of bone strength, healing ability etc. and Northern, Eastern (except northeast) and western parts of India have more of the same gene people as many/most of Middle eastern, most of pakistani and afghanistani (compared to other parts of India). All races and geographical people are special in some sense and no race or country is better than other - for example, some races like mongoloid and dravidians are better at mathematics etc., some races from african countries are better at athletics etc., whites have best strategic/structured thinking skills etc. So, everybody has somethign special to offer and god created his/her every child with special skill in one way or other. in essence , I do not (and I am sure neither does the poster above) are saying anything bad or negative about any race or any geographic people. Every race and place have people with some special traits. In this case, I believe people from certain parts have greater ability to recover especially from bone etc. issues point of view. That's all and neither do I belong to the category I am referring to (that I am saying has best strength and ability to recover fast and stronger immunity system), I am mixed (father from the northern Indian race and mother from southern) and I have equal mix of Dravidian and norther Indian features while mys sister got more norther Indian dominating genes. We all in this world are special and each are specially abled with some special ability to offer and that is why god created different races, together as human race we complement each other and together as a world we are the complete best team.

The complication that seems to affect them more than others is slow bone growth.  I observed this a lot in Beijing.  The doctors told people to lengthen 0.66mm per day at first.  Lots of the Caucasian patients were told to lengthen more after a short time: 1mm to sometimes even 1.33mm per day due to fast consolidation.  The domestic patients were hardly ever told this.  And one of the foreign patients who was Korean-American was told to lengthen 0.5mm per day and then 0.33mm.  He quit short of his goal due to poor consolidation.
