Family and friends
« on: November 03, 2019, 02:02:11 PM »

Hello, I am new to the forum, I measure 159 cm (5 '3 ") and I want to lengthen the tibiae in a first operation 4 cm (1.6") in two or three years when I get the money and then in a few more years I operate the femures to lengthen 4 cm more and thus have a height of 166 or 167 cm that is still short but is more reasonable. The main problem that I do not see much discussed in the forum is that I want to keep the operations secret and I do not know how to explain to family and friends when they start asking how it is that after 22 years (now I am 19) I started to grow so much
Right now I am starting to wear sneakers with an internal heel of about 4 cm so that other people begin to have a higher perception of me, but with respect to the second lengthening that i want to do (maybe at approximately 26 years old) the growth of my height would be inexplicable
How do you deal with these types of problems?
pd: sorry for my english

few inches doesnt make a difference they will think that you grew in your late 20s becoz of late growth spurts. plus  8cm is not enough go for atleast 10cm

Just say that you grew.  What other kind of explanation could they require?  Growth from 19-22 happens naturally sometimes.

Option 1: Say you grew, men can grow up until 25.
Option 2: wear orthotics few months prior to surgery, so you get them used to the new heigh and they won't be chocked.
Option 3: half truth, say you had surgery because you had on leg that was shorter, not cosmetic LL.

i am stil contemplating about this because other than my closest friends i havnt really told ppl. its not somthing u take pride in discussing u know. anyways for me at the end of this il be away from  my hometown for slightly more than a year, p.s before embarking on this journey i cut out almost all socializing for a few months and the only time i had to i was wearing shoes with good insoles. I think given that after such a long time of not meeting ppl tend to forget ur exact height (basically its us thinking abt it everyday but folks r busy with other  s going on in life). And to add to the fact that i didnt over-exceed 5.5cm makes it easier.

So yea in case such as mine i think its hard for people to raise this topic consciously but i will say this ppl who were close to my height say only within a couple inches range can definetely notice the change atleast sunconsiously and i think if i had done more than 6cm they wouldve noticed enough to ask questions. if tht point comes il just say i stretched and fixed my posture. thts all.
