LL and the effect on your Career
« on: October 23, 2019, 01:03:05 PM »

Hello everyone,

I know I've created a few different topics recently and will be cutting back but I do hope this topic gets a fair amount of responses. I'd love to hear from veterans and those planning their surgery the effect it will have or had on your career path and how you were able to put it back on track?

Ultimately I don't want this much needed surgery to get in the way of my career, my earning potential, and my life. I know this surgery is disruptive on all fronts, but some perspective about how you plan to keep your job or kept your job would be very insightful for those of us currently planning. Did this surgery negatively impact your entire career path? Were you able to keep your job with the same company? Did you find it difficult to explain the past few months to a new employer about what you were doing?? Did you find yourself in a financial rut that took time to recover from? Was it worth the sacrifice?
