TEAM!

I have been cleared to walk, on this day my LL Journey is officially complete!

I will post x-rays later today.

Long story short, when you remove the strydes, the hole just fills in.

The feeling is totally different right now, right?

The most painful moment is gone for good. Now with a new height. Congratulations.

Congrats, bro! Have your screw holes filled in already as well? I feel like I can run and jump right now, but I haven’t done an X-ray since removal yet so I’m being cautious.

Hey are you 'InFullStryde'? Your two heights are equal, you two are both enterpreneurs, and you two both do LL in Mahboubian's!

Thanks, very good to know! How long did it take after nail removal for the holes to fill considerably/completely ?

Moto - Just a 6 week wait , had to use crutches after surgery for 6 weeks. New x rays showed the holes filling in, and they gave the ok to walk again. This is GREAT NEWS for stryde users concerned about lysis. It does reverse when rods are taken out.

So from your exp it's safe to say it takes 6w for stryde patients to fill bone holes to a good mount. Can the same be said for precice patients?

Yea precise has no historical issues with lysis near the juncture point of the rod. You are likely good to go after rod removal for precise.

After the removal, one could walk like normal? No need to adjust?

Yea no need at all.

You heal for about 1 week from the surgery incisions, but after that you feel normal. Walking on pure bone again.

It is almost spiritual. Instant babe magnet.

How filled in were your screw holes during your last X-ray? Did your doctor clear you for sports yet?

There was a considerable amount of "fill in", however still a bit transparent. He did not clear me for sports, mentioned to wait another 6 weeks for that.  I believe 2 to 3 months is fairly standard after rod removal to allow your screw holes to fill in.

with that said, I am thrilled to be able to walk again without crutches. And even more thrilled, that this "lysis" business created by the stryde rod is isolated, and not something that spreads. It goes away after you take the rod out.

I guess to be safe, I will take another x ray of my legs in a year or so.

Be safe, be tall.
