How many months after nailing can you get deep bone infection?

How many months after you do internal nailing like Precice or Stryde can you get internal infection? Has anyone asked his doctor this question?

If nothing happens 2 weeks after surgery can you say "My God I have survived" or will you have to wait for more months?
