Hi I am a new member (very long time lurker). I have finally saved up enough money to do this. Basically I really want to leg lengthening but my wingspan is 5cm below average (166cm wingspan/171cm height).... I'm already completely fked proportion wise and will be even more fked after I do leg lengthening...
I was planning to external Tibia and external Humerus but after researching on the forums, it seems like that it's impossible to do both at the same time because apparently "you need your arms". I'm not planning to get both surgery done at the exact same time, I was thinking of doing my Humerus first and after a few weeks when my arms can regain basic function again, I want to do external tibia to save considerable time. Because from what I've heard, Tibia alone can take almost a year, and Humerus alone can take almost a year as well. I really cannot stay at a hospital for 2 YEARS!!! I have a job, I have a life, 2 years is just impossible for me....
I have 2 questions:
1. Why is it impossible to do both external Humerus and external Tibia at the same time? From what I've seen through videos, people's arms and hands still function very well even during the humerus lengthening process so why would it be a issue? I've seen a video where some guy who had a monorail fixing on his Humerus and was doing push-ups against the wall... So the arms are definitely still usable!! Can't I just use a wheel chair to get around instead of a walking stick?
2. If I REALLY can't do both external Humerus and external Tibia at the same time, then is it possible to do STRYDE on my Tibia so that I am completely weight bearing and then do my external Humerus once I am able to walk? From what I've seen, people can walk almost immediately after surgery once they have STRYDE nail surgery done. I am willing to spend the extra money to do expensive STRYDE nail if this plan is possible.
PS: I am also willing to do Femurs instead of my Tibias if it makes any difference. I am definitely not doing my Tibias and Femurs at the same time because I'm pretty sure that breaking and lengthening 6 limbs is physically impossible for the human body... unless I'm wrong?
Thank you in advance for any help...!
