Infullstryde:
Just wanted to know what you thought about Conway performing quadrilateral lengthening( 2 inches in femurs and 2 in tibias) four weeks apart. I have been in contact with her and she has relayed to me that she has performed many of these surgeries. I think that although itd be an uphill battle... i'd almost prefer one big war then two seperate battles. What do you think as someone who has spaced out the surgeries?
Hi DreamingTall!,
To be completely honest, my CLL experience was very difficult. Even with the Stryde nail; my legs just did not tolerate weight-bearing very well until after a couple of months; so for me personally; it was probably best that I focused on the femurs. I am 90% sure I will not do the Tibia's, but NEVER SAY NEVER!
My opinion is that I cannot imagine doing quadrilateral at my condition. But, if you're young and strong like, Movie is (another patient on here), I'd say you probably are in a good position to try it. For me personally, 37, weak legs to start, low flexibility...it was wise to focus on one segment at a time.
