Thanks guys

When I saw him at the beginning of the month he had told me I should be cleared to jog in a couple weeks if my flexibility allowed me to like I said in my last video update, and it was light jogging, I wasn't putting a lot more weight on the nail as to be able to break it or bend it in comparison to walking.

E Z: Haha  ;D

Yeah it wasn't easy I was definitely struggling like I said it was my first real attempt at jogging, and I could only do bursts of short distances as you can see in the videos, also today I woke up with a bit of pain on my legs that lasted through out the day, pretty sure because of that, but it's ok no pain no gain, I know soon it won't hurt anymore and I'll be able to get back to playing soccer

If there were a LL olympics you'd get the gold medal. Walk is amazing. Light jog is amazing. You're killing it!

Question for you, how have you handled the height gain around friends and family? Have they noticed? Did they ask any questions?

Dreamer57: Absolutely no problem bro! hope you achieve all the goals you set your mind to.

TheAlchemist: Hahaha thanks a lot bro! means a ton. I've handled it pretty well I'd say, I told my immediate family only (Mom, Dad, Siblings) and my closest friends that I consider siblings as well because they're the ones who'd notice and I trust they keep it confined. but yes people do notice and I just blame it on my shoes which are usually thick soled or just say yes I had a late growth spurt for people who haven't seen me in a longer period of time (1 year +) , it's believable because I'm 23 lol

I just want to start off by saying thank you. Your videos give the belief that I will be able to change my life for the better. Being a short has affected my life socially, academically and most importantly it has prevented me from reaching my true potential. Your videos give me the belief that I could one day do all the things that I wish I could do.  For example, walk around the mall doing black Friday shopping without feeling insecure. You don't realize how much your videos mean to me. May God Bless you.

Michale & Dreamer: Been good, getting better day by day as expected
@Lucky1: Thanks bro I appreciate it, I'm glad my contribution to this forum helps you believe in yourself. God bless always 🙏🏼

Alright guys I took a while for this next update I'm just living life now and although I check the forum almost daily, I just like giving my 2 cents here and there on people's posts, I forget people want to know how I'm doing and and update from me so here it is:

also guys I know I didn't mention any negatives but so far it's still my knees get tight a bit, for instance: when I drive and get off the car I take like 10 seconds to warm up because I'll have some pain in my knees and also where my bottom nail screws are by where my knees are hopefully that'll improve with time or maybe it'll go away once I remove the rods. I sometimes get pain on my left leg by my bone break site I believe, not sure why but that's how it is.

Other than that, enjoy the update.

Everything is looking great, Movie.  The lingering tightness and pain is normal at 5 months.  In the coming months 6, 7, 8...and so on; these pains will likely go away completely based on the progress you have shown thus far.

I have to agree with the rest. you are one of the best if not the best recovery I have seen. are you like wolverine? I am still pacing my own recovery but you do serve as a profound inspiration. well played and congrats on your new path. things will never be the same again.

Very impressive videos especially the soccer maneuver. Your individual effort is fast tracking your progress. Congrats thus far. Stryde gives patients the best hope to optimal recovery along with their own efforts of course.

Yesterday I felt a live again!! in my natural habitat I missed it so much  ;D

we played against some teenagers lol they were decent and I was the goalie because I'm pretty slow still and cant kick the ball nowhere as hard as I was able to pre surgery I'm at like 20% power right now it feels like lol and I was getting scored on between my legs pretty easily haha they're too long now so it leaves a gap open; I felt like I was sluggish and couldn't move as agile as I used to and it was a bit frustrating but I got to have patience and I was honestly just very happy that I had my soccer cleats on and I was kicking a ball around after so long! right leg feels pretty strong and painless, left leg is still a bit painful every time I'd kick the ball I'd feel a sting by my bone break site I think. but happy to be here at 5 months 3 weeks.

Hey!

A very inspiring story my friend.  I just got a question to ask ya.  When you talked to Dr. M, did he mention anything about quadrilateral lengthening?  Tbh with you, I'd really rather not do a large lengthening on one segment due to proportions issues (it's just something that I care about).  Do you know how the recovery process may differ between the two?

Thanks!

Dang homie your in great shape! I still havent even got the chsnce to put my cleats back on. Its been like 3 years since i have:(
Im sure if i wouldve never got drop foot i would be close to your level but that slowed my recovery down by a lot!

Im getting all 4 nails out by the end of this month though! Already have my surgery date and plane ticket ready and seeing this video just gave me huge hope!! Your an inspiration honestly! Keep it up👍🏽
