I'm planning on getting the surgery in roughly two years I just need to save up roughly 50K and then I'll get LON with Giotikas since he looks promising. Hopefully there's a few more diaries by then.

I wanted to get STYDE but unfortunately I know I'll never be able to afford that.

With Stryde, you're on your feet for most of the process and you can feel confident to be walking by 3- 6 months, time. Other methods, you just never know.   I hope everyone can go Stryde nail in the future.

I'm thinking about it, but I'm far from taking a decision. I am considering few doctors in Europe and I am scared as hell of the general anesthesia (which is the only reason why I'm not planning it yet). I wish scientists found a way to reopen growth plates through stem cells but we may be 10-20 years away from that. Such a pity the only way to achieve our goal is a medieval-style surgery.

@Kenda
I wish lol.
I'm taking into consideration potential complications and living expenses. I'll probably stay in the country that does the surgery for a few months -at learnt until lengthening is done.
From what I've read minor to medium level complications are pretty common.

On second thoughts maybe £30,000 should suffice. I'll let others here have some input on that.

I'm not too sure how much accommodation in Athens is, hopefully it's not too much ,but it's integral you keep money by for potential complications I read a study where at least mild complications that are easily fixed occur in about 60% of people. It's best to bear in mind that this study was for Illazarov method so I don't know what it would be like for LON. Just don't take any chances and assume things will go well.

Greece is relatively pretty cheap in accommodation compared to other places

I may do this surgery next year. I don't know which doctor yet. My goal is 6cm femur with stryde. If I don't have any complication and have a fast recovery, I may do 5cm tibia (stryde) later. I'm 1,68m. My initial goals were higher.

I will if my prospective marriage fails to work (since this had been the one issue bothering me the most). Right now, I don't feel the need to have my height validated by anyone else's opinion.

Yes I do want to add, before doing this surgery, ask yourself if you have optimized your life to the fullest extent possible (job/career, personality, etc).
