About study and work during surgery
« on: June 28, 2019, 11:17:01 AM »

I am currently a university student. I am thinking about the tibia by the LON method. I am planning to study during surgery, is it difficult? I am worried that I can not concentrate because of pain or spend too much time on rehabilitation and I can not study.

Best wait until summer break you should be able to complete the lengthening phase during this time.
You're usually sent home for consolidation with LON as it's an internal nail and weight bearing.
I'm planning on getting the surgery immediately after uni as I think that's the best option in case of complications that may increase the lengthening time.
Are you planning on going with Dr Giotikas?

Hi pjgpmjq

I really don't think that is a good idea. Don't expect not to lose anything.  You may lose everything.  In this case, your study, health, lengthening, privacy/secret of CLL, or more.
CLL is not a simple cosmetic surgery.  It is a very demanding and painful process, not to mention a risk of complication.  Just focus on one thing at a time.  You are still young and 1 year of delay is not much for your life.
You need at least 4-5 months of break for lengthening, a surgery for LON and a little bit of recovery.  You will need at least 6-7 months to be able to just walk without an aid but not like normal walking.  I would suggest you to have at least 6 month off.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. Currently, I am in a pretty smart university and I am satisfied with the female relationship. The present dissatisfaction is only height and has been thinking about that from old days. I do not regret having decided to operate. Good luck to you too

Hi pigpmjq
What is your height? You haven't done the surgery, have you?  I did it already with about 6 months break and it went well.
Take it more seriously and do more research on this before you really go into it.

My height is 167 cm. I have been collecting information for quite some time. By the way who is your doctor?

Hi pjgpmjq
I did cll with Dr. Paley using stryde. You are still very young so you are ambitious as usual for young people.
Do some more research and make a more practical plan. Otherwise you will get into more trouble later on.

Good luck
