I’ve been pre approved for carecredit to do stryde femurs with dr mahboubian and pay it back 2 years no interest (can do 5 year payments but apr is alot so no) This is more or less 70k. I’m a 21yo male and 166cm and am aiming for a total of 12.5cm minimum. 13-14cm preferred. Anyways due to my budget (have about 45-50k saved so will have to work after recovery, I have a few office job opportunities that are good paying with my degree) and plus expenses, I was Considering tibia lengthening with Solomon. I need a safe cheap method for Tibias as cheapest in US is like 50k, even if tsf if better I can’t afford another 50k for Tibias, I can’t get financed more and I don’t want to even finance that much for Tibias.
Originally I was looking into giotikas for stryde and tsf in 2020 (I’d be 22) however after consideration And looking at dr.solomins prices and credentials I realize he has a lot of experience more than giotikas. This however does not disregard the PT is poor from what I’ve read, and I’ll have to really exert myself to do PT alone.
The reason I want to do tibias first is my Us health insurance may possibly correct any complications that arise in the future when I go to Dr.M.
Can anyone let me know if solomin is reliable preferably based on experience, what complications did he have? How good are his surgical bone cuts, etc did his patients return to normal or very close to normal after external tibias under 6cm?
