Should I go for it despite my short sitting height?
« on: May 31, 2019, 03:37:04 PM »

I'm about 169 cm (5'6 1/2") (168-170 depending on the time of the day).
Wingspan: 178 cm (5'10")
Torso length: 43 cm (17")
Sitting height: 83 cm (33")
Goal: 5'10"

Should I go for it or will my sitting height be a problem?

I have exactly your same proportions, but my sitting height is 85 cm. The truth is that I do not have an independent idea. I have medium-sized legs, my seam is 80 cm. Could you say the size of your feet and hands? I also have 178cm in span and I think that is the most important

I wear a UK side 8. My hand length from bottom part of the palm to end of the index finger is 18.5 cm (7.2") and hand size is 8 inches (20.3 cm).

I am also 169 cm tall every day, and I am also puzzled by the low trunk .. sitting height 87 cm ..
I hope it's not a problem for the proportions

Is sitting height from butt to head or only shoulders?

Just to give you a comparison:

I was 1,60m, my sitting height is about 88cm. Now I'm ~1,65m. But unfortunately my wingspan is only about 162cm.

I mean, I measured it roughly with a ruler by myself. I'm not sure if it was accurate so I'll do it again with someone's help. I do think my sitting height is pretty low but not that low.

My hand is quite small, just as my feet have short fingers because of genetic interference. My feet measure about 25.2 cm which is equivalent to size 8 US (26cm). My hand from the middle finger to the wrist is 17.5 cm. I have very short fingers, I would like to have bigger hands and feet in case I get the surgery, I also think that my forearm is short because it is related to the feet. I would advise you to do a single surgery, femur preferably, if you upload a picture of your body or send me to the PM I could give you my opinion

Being tall and having short everything else is still better than being short and having short everything else.
Just look at Cristiano R0 NALDO: he is tall and small everything else, small torso, small feet, small hands, small head

Whoa, thanks for the example. His proportions seem very similar to how I'd likely look if I get LL.

Hey OP can you post a picture of your proportions? Also you might want to use your inseam instead of sitting height, I think it's a bit more accurate. This is measured from floor to highest point of your crotch.

I have the same measurements as you.

I am quite leggy. Inseam is 83cm. Ratio is 049! But I do plan to become quite wide through religiously gymming, including my legs although I heard it’s hard to build muscle on legs post LL? - anyway, hoping that being quite hench should help me to look less leggy. Only planning on 5cm by the way. And hoping I can gain a centimetre on my torso  though regular yoga and stretching (though this is not permanent unless I am active).

What’s your inseam?
