Do your daily calories increase if you lengthen yourself?
« on: May 16, 2018, 08:29:10 AM »

Everyone knows the taller the person is, the more calories they have to get for their daily basis. Let's say a person adds 8-10 cm to his/her height will the lenghtening increase the recommended calories since they are now taller? I think this is interesting topic to discuss.
The reason I say 8-10 cm and not 5-6 is that it is really drastic height change.

172 cm. Want to do 5 cm on tibias and 7.5-8 cm on femurs with internal PRECICE 3 (STRYDE). Hope I can do it!

I also wonder if someone's distribution of fat changes. I know a guy who was chubby and when he grew he seemed thinner. Some LLers said they "lost" their butt. Could this be due distribution of fat instead of just having lost weight?

No. The fat distribution dont change with a few cm on your legs.

And for tho other question, nothing significant. If you lengthen 8cm on femurs maybe you'll need about 100-150 calories more per day but for tibias I doubt if you need even 50 cal more, because it has some small muscles so your tissues lengthened are not much.

One of the cosmetic benefits of LL is that if you are 5’4” and you are a weight lifter, once you grow to 5’8” you will have the same muscular body frame in your upper body and you will be taller but just as filled out. Whereas with natural growth it would most likely be more evenly distributed and your wrists etc would be longer making you a bit more stringy.
