Am I the only one who thinks almost all of them look kinda strange though? I guess proportions in the (half-)nude really is what you have to sacrifice to get taller, unless you're naturally disproportionate already.

It's only because you have LL in the back of your mind. An average joe wouldn't take a second look. I think another factor may be muscle atrophy. I guess once the muscle comes back on those legs, they would even out and look normal again.

Probably partly true about my own perception, maybe it would be useful to show the pictures to someone who's never heard of LL. Muscle gain can help somewhat but will not change the fact that the knees are way too far down to look proportionate, in my opinion (in the case of femur lengthening over 5 cm).

Some serious kudos to NBW for posting this.  I finally registered just to comment.

I've seen many individual LL photos.  But seeing all these different LL'ers side by side, I'm noticing a pattern here.  Personally, I need to feel comfortable with my appearance with and without clothes.  I'm sticking to 5 cm.  If I need more, I'll have to do a 2nd surgery.

I'm not sure what happened to the missing centimeter he lost, but I believe he went from 5' 7" to 6' 3", despite ABC's 20/20 and other media sources saying he was 5' 6" and is now 6' 2".

He must look utterly weird. Maybe he likes to sodomise himself and that's why he destroyed himself. 

We don't see any videos of him do we? And the ones he posted sucks so bad it could be anyone.

No  , you would think if he proliferated pictures of his own body that looks normal, videos of him doing normal things competently then it would rest the minds of many and he would make far more money from patients going to his doctors. Making money seems to be his main concern despite his incessant nagging that he just wants to further LL.


He is on old forum  literally hours everyday, it would take one hour to take a video, pictures of himself to net him probably thousands of dollars. I think it would make headlines if he looked normal lengthening his amount and going through life normally. Yet he never does this.

Hilarious how he on Apotheosis diary he nags on and on about how his sitting height is normal for his height then many with the same sitting height called him out saying it would be weird as fk. I think he claims 93cm but because he's a compulsive liar it is really probably 91-92cm. I believe Sweden has the same sitting height and is 10cm shorter than Apo and constantly says how he is towered over when sitting down, whilst Apo says he feels normal. The kids delirious.

I didn't meant to be snarky. I really don't understand why people keep on discussing about Apotheosis' proportions and to allege that he might have edited his pictures because he CAN'T look good after lengthening 20cm. I actually met patients who did around 16-18cm that looked great. Of course that doesn't mean that everybody could lengthen that much, it's very individual, but at least it's possible.

For those who think they can pull off 20cms: Go and look for people who is 10-15 cm shorter than you. Take a good look at them and tell me do you think they will look as proportion as you if they did LL to get to your height

I think some people can pull it off but not many.  I look at RGKEY and he did 9cms and when he wears boots with lifts he says he is 178 and he was 163.5 before LL without shoes.  He looks like he can maybe pull of 20 because he has a big upper body.  So it's possible.

Couple of things. None of the respected doctors has ever recommended doing 15cm let alone 20cm.
Secondly you are not getting the full picture when people are wearing baggy jeans and tops. Your also not seeing them sitting down as well like Sweden mentioned. Its not only a proportions thing but to do with soft tissue where people should ideally lengthen 15% of their original limb length.

I have to agree with Sweden that if you do sit down with other people of natural height then you will end up looking very weird especially with a shorter sitting height and longer tibias. But some people are able to pull off lengthening to a great extent if they have significantly longer sitting and torso height. When I found out about LL I became more aware of peoples proportions and I noticed a guy with a smaller torso, shorter sitting height and much longer legs and my friends mentioned that he looked strange. Personally I would never lengthen more than 6.5 cm on femurs and 5 cm on tibias because of higher risk of long term complications, longer recovery and I am very concious of my proportions.

Right on with you Hanna. Plus as Apo said, his 20cms lengthening will different on every person. Before LL people are naive period, they will only see what they want to see. Even the mockup photos will not show the reality. Even pictures don't completely show the reality. I really don't believe Apo will try to encourage people to do 20 cms, haha.. i dare anyone to do that, sounds so nice but so few people will able to achieve it. It is so very difficult.
And like Hana says, what matter is how you feel with your body, with your height your proportions etc.
