Questions about some sports after recovery
« on: February 20, 2018, 03:29:17 PM »

Hi, I'm 23 years old, 5.7.5 -> 171cm at night and plan to do LL in the future (5cm max on tibia) as I have time and money.

I had a question tho, to the people who did LL and are "recovered", is this possible to do activities like dancing or skateboard after recovery ?

By "dance" I mean this kind (in intro) and also shuffle :

Thanks.

C'mon guys, I couldn't find a diary, no dancer ever did LL ?

I'll have to lengthen my tibias 2 inch myself to see if I can still do the running man after ?  ;D

Majority of range of motion is restored after a year after LL, so you can interpret that as a yes without a guarantee.

I don't have an interest in dancing nor am I a sportsman, so I don't know much about the subject. However, this video did come to mind:

Hi Android,

Woaw so nice to see, but is it just after the operation or after the consolidation ?

Because she doesn't seem to have lengthened.

At worst I'll have to work on my Pop & Lock :D

Most women who get CLL don't do it for height, but to fix deformities like bow-leggedness or knock-knee. There's some lengthening involved for correction, so the process is similar. I don't have any info on this patient aside from this video, so I don't know which stage of her journey this is in.

Yeah the process is similar but I if they don't lengthen then there is no stretching of soft tissue so that's why she can dance so easily I think.

Thanks for the vid anyway.
