Is 10CM lengthening safe

Ok now you've probably seen the title and are like what but let me explain I want to do 5cm tibula and 5cm femurs obviously not at the same time what would be the recovery time and who would be the best doctor for this.

The reason I'm interested in two surgeries is because it is less stress on the bone doing 5cm in two separate parts also it might look overall better because the lower or top leg won't be freakishly longer then the other they will be the same proportionally as they were before but longer.

It's a realistic goal yes. Where are you planning to get it done? It's important to choose a good doctor who puts your safety first and you should be fine.

probably paley if i can afford him the only thing is that i really haven't seen enough or heard enough about other doctors that have given me much more options i've heard about Rozbruch but know very little about his success rate and reviews i've only seen videos on YouTube of him explaining LL and he seems fairly confident in his experience.

Well, it is crucial you get in contact with maybe one or two patients of your chosen doctor, maybe even on this forum so they can explain everything to you and give you a fresh perspective on which ever doctor you choose. Anyways, good luck on that and give us an update if anything new comes up!  :)

"Safe" in what way?

Not even one millimeter of limb lengthening is "safe". Embolism and such are always a risk.

It definitely isn't "safe" for your athletic abilities.

Life isn't exactly a walk in the park below 170cm so I'm willing to trade some of my athletic ability for a good few inches of height.

you can theoretically avoid fat embolism by doing unilateral surgery (one femur at a time). Spread out by a month for example.
have talked to Dr. Paley about this in the past, but he said the cost will be 20k more.

risk of embolism will almost be 0. And you will also know that you have no known side effect from anesthesia used in first surgery. So theoretically the risk of anesthesia will not be x2.

However you have to analyze the cost vs benefit.

If you want to be as safe as possible and save up a lot of money for the procedure, then unilateral internal femurs might be an option for you.
