I'm considering doing bilateral lengthening


Sequential cross-elongation of femurs and lower legs:
1st step: right femur + left lower leg
2nd step: left femur + right lower leg



Is this realistic or just plain retarded?


Obviously Tibia (externals), Femur (LON)

I am planning the same, but If you just want 8 cm, Wouldnt be easier to lengthen only the femurs?

I'm sure a few people could manage that but most people are going to look weird after 8 cm in one segment.

Maybe you could try 7 cm in your femurs? Do you already have naturally long tibias?

I'm debating between 6cm tibias or 4+4. Reason for that is I know deep down there's a chance I might not end up being satisfied with 6cm. I know for sure though a +8 gain will make me satisfied and won't feel the need to touch the height argument ever again. However I don't want to set unrealistic expectations about cross elongation.

I know 4cm on one segment is relatively "low risk", but not sure about the stress of the whole process altogether.

My proportions are fairly good (low torso, long arms, long femurs). I'm more worried about risks as opposed to just 6 cm tibias, mechanics and stress/recovery.

If anyone can give me good advice/reality check, he's welcome.

External femur would be very painful even with a nail that sounds risky over doing internals.

Makes thigh too long and knees too low.

best aesthetic wise would be 6.5 cm femur +3.5-4 cm tibia for a total of 10 cm gain for those of you who want to gain a lot.

Best surgeons for this:

I would go to Dr. Paley for 6.5 cm internal femurs
Then
go to Dr. Catagni/Dr. Pilli/Dr. Salameh for 4 cm tibias

The total cost would be around 120k but it would be worth it after you save up if you are really short.

With Solomin (Russia). First will do tibia and try to recover athletic ability, then 1-2 years later will decide if I want anymore

It will probably cost less than half of that. But I want to prepare more

The operation itself is kinda cheap. Maid/Physiotherapy/apartment stay are the ones that cost you.
