Hey folks,

Would be interestning to know what sort of food some of you ate during limb lengthening? I was adviced to avoid calcium rich food and milk due to risk of premature consolidation. Also by neglecting and skipping meals, HGH would be at highest and effect the rate of healing. tPlease share your view and thoughts on this issue. What type of food would you recommend in order to avoid complications?

Fat and protein to build up the flesh that will fill the gap you created. Whether you should or shouldn't eat calcium depends on your bone growth rate. If it's slow, drink more milk and eat more calcium. Just ask and listen to your doctor about what you should be eating.

Great advice. Yeah, I've been told to be careful with calcium until consolidation stage. It's also important not to skip meals and avoid being in a fasting phase due increased secretion of HGH.

I've been told to eat lots of protein and bone health nutrients even during the lengthening phase. But right after surgery I was told to hold off on supplements for about a week. I think this was out of fear of preconsolidation. It happens to some people. My first cm was done very quickly and in a controlled fashion. I think turning at 1mm per day for 10 days for my first cm helped reduce the risk of preconsolidation for me (it didn't happen).
