6'2 6'0 5'10 Torso length
« on: July 06, 2017, 11:10:09 AM »

Hi there i have been thinking about doing LL for some time however my perportions are what is worring me for example my torso length is 23 inches my inseam is 77cm and my current height is 178 in morning and 177 in the evening if i can do LL surgery then i would do two serguries 5cm on tibs and 5 cm on femurs to try to keep them in balence however like i said my torso would worry me.

My wingspan is 182cm also

I highly doubt you have a 23 inch long torso. That is a very long one. It would mean you will find it difficult to find shirts that fit

i measure from the C7 vertebra; the bony bump at the base of your neck this is how you would measure your torso for hiking backpacks all the way until you get to the  iliac crest aka the hip bones this gives me a torso length of 23 inches the same way the medium sizing for that sort of thing is 17 inches to 19 inches 20+ plus inches is considered large

I have somewhere between 19.5-21 usually and I already have a lot of shirts that are too short. 23 inches is a very long torso

yea i know that was my concern my arms look really small at 6'2 would putting on muscle increase make it look a little less noticeable and yea in t-shirts i have always to go for a size large other wise the T-shirt will be really short on me

You don't need LL but if you do it go for max 5-6 cm on tibias or femurs.
Everything more than that will ruin your proportions and your legs will look freakingly long.

He does have short arms. But No one has ever made fun of him about it. He has long legs. Maybe he did LL maybe don't who knows and who cares

Agreed, you don't need LL. But if you did, I would advise to bulk up a bit since you have a narrow frame.

Only an imbecile would try to predict based on a photo whether they can go for few cm or not. The photo can be taken from a thousand angles and show something different. Also mock-ups look totally different than  real life proportions( i know i did mock-ups and then LL) The only real way to kinda know how much you can go is sitting hight to height ratio and wingspan.

PS. doing LL while being 5'10 is a totally retarded idea.

Great to hear you started lifting! I am happy you took my advice. If you are losing some weight it can be also water weight. Also, since you are a noob lifter, usually you can lose some fat and gain muscle at the same time. Important thing is to be patient you will reap the rewards in a few monthes but you must stay consistent.

I am speaking from personal experience of mine and of people I know who once they got a nice physique, the change in how people viewed us was huge.

What kind of lifting program are you doing?

And no need for 1 session each day. As a noob lifter 3 times a week is enough max 4

Could over lifting actually stunt any progression i have also i don't have a program it is honestly me going in and doing my own thing which i also think might be the reason for small and slow progression.

Yes training so much will harm and is surely harming your progression.

I told you do do stronglift 5X5 or Starting streangth for a couple of months. Search those on the web

You need at least 1 day of break between lifting sessions.

Remember your muscle grow not when u are lifting but when u are regenerating.

Very skinny.
With LL, considering you have a good height already, you'll look scrawny like Vader, tall with really skinny body which is something that women hate.
So lift heavy and eat a lot, only then your body will look manly. Your height is your last problem from what I see.
