He seems like a genuine guy.  Happy for that kid, he did it at the right age.

this was a great watch. especially the talk about what is a good vs bad psychology behind doing LL, which doesn't get discussed often in the LL videos I've seen so far. thanks for sharing

Good for this guy to put himself out there and be a part of this documentary. I like how there was no b.s. in this either. Kind of surprised at how well proportioned he looked and how normal he was walking. My mouth dropped when I heard him talking about playing basketball already!

Certainly a brave kid. And yeah, basketball inside of 10 months? Spectacular. If you can go to Rozbruch, you do it and don't even blink. We'll see how good my jump shot is after i finish this summer hahah.

I agree that Rozbruch is a no brainer if you can get the insurance discount. The only problem is that you have to return every two weeks to New York for x-rays and follow ups. That's a killer if you don't live within driving distance. The cost of living for 3 months in New York will just about break anyone's budget.

You have to post a before and after video of your jump shot :)

I dont know if I can read the inch meters correctly, but in the first pic it looks like a gain of 2 inches and not 3.5

Roz and Sam mentioned 3 inches multiple times and the xray in the video showed the 8cm of full distraction in the rod. Second pic shows it more clearly.

I do believe that he lengthened 8cm. Xrays don't lie. But even in the second pic, it looks like 6cm of gain. Maybe his femurs' angles made it that the 8cm of length didn't translate to an actual gain of 8cm in height?

Again, not trying to discredit the doc, but it doesnt look, atleast on the scale on the wall behind him, as a 3.5 inches gain.

1) check your math, 8cm isnt 3.5 inches, its a little over 3.1
2) you don't lose 2 cm of angular height during distraction... cmon bruh
3) if it helps you sleep at night, sam measured at 163 pre-op, and stands 170.5 today... anything else?

1) chill

2) Sorry for being from a country who is using the metric system

3) I was reffering to the scale on the wall behind Sam that shows a little above 2 inches of height difference

4) chill

Haha i mean its pretty smooth already. My stroke wont be affected though, so i should still nail em'
And yeah, if you're not from the tristate area, housing costs are certainly a bigger part of the equation than anywhere else you may go for this.
