that is why the pins and rods are for, to make sure that gap or new bone is stable and stay in static position even if you fall from a building!! everything might break and move but whatever is protected by the frames not even 0.0001 millimeters

Yeah the pins and rods keep each end of the bone in place :p but the gap in the middle where the new bone is being regenerated, regardless of how stable the ilizarov frames are, that spot could theoretically be affected if muscle tissue got into the gap. The rods would keep the ends of the bone stable and in place but the gap in the middle could still be affected.

But after looking at x-rays on bones on the internet i dont think its a big issue, since the bone is so thin compared to the whole leg, the muscles might not be able to reach the gap within the bones even when applying pressure from the outside. I hope so because i cant really stop myself from flexing my lower legs muscles some times. :p

Yeah, nobody at the clinic mentioned anything about it either, so it probably isnt anything to worry about. If that was a risk they would probably not have designed these ilizarov frames like they are with no protection on the back of the legs

Since all the soft tissues and muscles are stretched all the time I don't think that they will curve themselves in the gap, you worry too much!

Yeah although my calf muscles are very relaxed and dont seem to be tense, they seem to be like they where before the surgery right now, i dont know if they are still being stretched since i stopped lengthening over a month ago, but i still dont think this should be a problem  :p

hi everyone. It has been awhile. some updates.
legs are better until one week ago to Egypt. I just came back and my legs are super tight. I think a day or 2 and ill be back to walking ok. I can't run, but at least I can dance decently))))

Life is good, Im deeply in love with my Girlfriend!))))) and here is a picture of me and her together in Egypt having a bless!! amazing amazing time!!! it makes all this LL experience so much better!!! cuz i met her in russia while i was consolidating and she was doing correction. She is all i could ever dream of a girl, she is so cool sweet and hot))) Im more happy that i met such person than the fact that I stretched my legs 9cms. So guys, yeah life is good for now)))

getting my hurt broken when my ex girlfriend left me

losing 70 pounds

learning the game on how to understand women and social dynamics

and it was definitely not easy Leg Lengthening and achieving 9cms in height.

but it was all worth it. it really was, and sometimes i get down like any other human but I look back and all I have dare to do and the future looks super bright for me. nothing seems impossible anymore. everything i really wanted from live im getting it. and it is so cool! just so cool))) so all of you just dare and do it.

base on my personal experience: So would I recommend leg lengthening, yes)) but find a good doctor!!! someone who cares and prioritize your health. would i recommend Dr. Barinov, despite of his stupidity of fking me up with visa situation, now thanx to that I can not come back to Russia for 5 years, and i really want to for many fking reasons. And also, despite of my bowed leg! on his defense he is willing to fix it so it is ok I guess. Yes I would recommend him still. I'm 172 and have 1 bowed leg so it could be worse. We are finding ways to fix my bowed leg thou, maybe ill come to the clinic in czech republic. will see. what else... the hospital is not good but not an ass hole either, the clinic is fine, it is actually great! lot of people, nice help, one nurse for only davinci patients, the doctor is there all the time (business hours) all is good in that sense. i would love to give Barinov a 10 out of 10 rating but I can't!(((( my bowed leg does not allow it even when he wants to fix it, still this shouldn't happen. I give him an 8 out of 10. Personally I think for Leg lengthening a 7 out 10 and above is fine for a doctor.

jerry: maybe but i think at least another year! and i need to rest more, I've been too active. but being honest i dont know if ill ever be back to 100 percent ill let you know. for now im still fighting with just walking normal at all times. i cant run or anything like that. i know other people can but not me(((

But still tell me. When i think of 9 cm i think of amputation for some reason. Like once you cross 8 cm you are on your own. And here you are doing it like it was 4 cm. How did you do it. What was the hardest part?

And can you describe the pain? how was it like....like a knife kind of pain or more punch on the arm kind of pain.
