I'm 9 months post op, lengthened for about 6 months and now im in consolidation period.
so far this has been the most difficult experience i have ever had.
Im glad the worst is over.

Before doing LL consider all the risks, and specially the fact that this process will almost kill you mentally and sometimes physically

Hi) I paid about 15000 us dollars for the surgery and covers 3 months. after that you can either rent an apartment for about 600 or700 dollars or stay in the clinic which cost 1500 us dollars.

i would suggest to have at least 25k if you are planning to do 7cms or more.

You have a big and tall torso. Proportion won't be a big issue I suppose.

the funny thing is that the doctor didnt recommend me to go over 7cms proportion wise, this just to show that you cant really predict how you will look after lengthening even with the photoshop pictures. You must lengthen and see in real time how you are looking so far)))) movement change the whole picture!!)))

Yes, absolutely. My photoshop mock-ups looked a bit strange even with 7cm... when I was at 7cm I decided to lengthen more.

quick update:

today I'm super sore because I started walking with weights on my shoulders, so I am feeling it now))) it's a good feeling thou.
My calfs are sore and so my shoulders, but im sure in few day itll be gone))

Dr. BB was super imprese he even gave me a chocolate))) and reminded me to eat well because I was killing too many calories now coming from him it means a lot!!!! because He will never be satisfy with your amount of exercises, and every time you complain abut something is wrong he would immediately say You must walk more lol so for him to give me such complement it means a lot))))

I see you want to do 6cms on femurs and 4 on tibias)) if you can afford it I think that is the best choice you can make!!! just stick with it!!))
if you do less than 7cms in one part your recovery will be much better!!!! I like your plan and your mindset))

being in a good shape always help))
i recommend you to do internal on femurs and external(ilizarov) on tibias. Regardless of the discomfort of having frames, ilizarov is the safest device out there. And for femurs, if you want to go more than 5cms then do internal.

@Leornardo: it is completely safe))
the worst that can happen is that you will break a pin or two, then just have your doctor replace it)))) each pin supports 120 pounds, and right now I have 6 pins on each leg.

@Mediocre: Yes I asked my doctor if I could do it, my doctor said it is really good for me to do it, specially at the stage of consolidation, it will help the bones a lot more) of course he didn't believe I could do it, but Im all about consolidating my bones and getting my frames off and actually he is the one filming me on this video.

quick update:

so today I walked literary from 10am to5:30 pm only sit to eat and go to the toilet, So many beautiful and happy women today!!!

because here in Russia 8 of march is a very important holiday for women, so in the offices they celebrate it today. I met a super hot

sexy woman today!! maybe that's why I couldn't stop walking haha, anyway, I slept from 6pm to about 9pm and now is about midnight

and I cant sleep!!! just spending time on the forums chatting with people, I just finished watching "Dallas buyers club" very

impressive!!!! awesome acting and just a good movie over all.

@smallguy (bigguy) depends, well they dig handsome and overall not freaky guys lol but I think anywhere you go the fact that you are a foreigner helps, at least this has always being for me. They will not fk you or date you just because you are tall, short, handsome, black, brown or white, but they will if your game is tight)) The only issue with russian girls is that not all speak english.

Those are awesome staus pictures. Your legs look very straight, one of the benefits of externals only is corrections can be made to prevent malalignment.

It looks like you can stand and move around without any pain at all.
Do you still feel pin cutting from all the moving around?

Russia looks like a nice place to do LL. Is that "feisty girl" one of the "girls" people can meet in Russia? Lol!

@mediocre: yes)) as much as Ilizarov can be uncomfortable, it is also the greatest device for everything else!! easy to correct your legs and make them look to perfection!!)) yeah that's the only dark girl I found)) and I fell in love with her))) Oh, about the pins, pin cutting a little, but I feel it more around the pin, not in the skin, is more like where the pins and the bones are, every time I step in a particular position I feel pain very bearable but it makes me not walk as straight as I wish I could.

@cyber: Yes! i would love to do femurs, 5cms and I think I would look much better (from my own opinion) but first i would need to recover to 110%, at least my flexibility is almost all back)) just need to make sure my bones are completely strong and my muscles lose tightness, which I hope it'll improve a lot once the frames are removed.

That's right. However here in Russia it is a Holliday and it's a big deal. Few days ago it was Men's day as well and For the first time in my life I got congrats for being a man))) it was strange and awesome)))
