Arm lengthening
« on: November 04, 2016, 10:43:16 AM »

One of my arm (radius and ulna bones) is about 20 cm shorter than my other arm. To lengthen an arm is it easier to lengthen
the upper arm (humerus bone) than the two bones in the under arm radius and ulna?

I think Birkholtz said something about the humerus being a better option, domt quote me on it though

Finishing school before doing surgery. Most likely to just do tibias to become at least 170cm.

Well is it just the forearm portion of your arm that is shorter?  If you want to lengthen your humerus that much you will need multiple lengthenings. It costs the same as leg lengthening.

@Iamready. About 90% shortness is in the forarm (radius + ulna bones). But I believe lengthening the radius and ulna in my situation will be a bad idea beacuse these bones are very thin. So if I lengthen my arm I believe it will be the humerus that will be lengthen.

I suggest you google Dr. Rozbruch. He has had success in treating people with ararm discrepancies.
You can also google Dr. Guitched who offers Humorous lengthening which is the most common practice for arm lengthening.

but 20 cm is a very huge difference alredy. If you lengthen your humerus it would look really  weird with a still short forearm and alot longer upper arm, wouldnt it?

You should schedule a consultation with Dr. Paley.  He has helped patients with various types of arm discrepancies and he can tell you what options you have available.

I thought Dr Guichet refused to do humerus lengthening, citing higher chance of nerve injury as the reason? Or will he actually do it?

Good point about it would look weird with a very very long upper arm. I have not that kind of money for Dr. Rozbruch, Dr. Guichet, Dr. Paley or other private Doctors. I will ask a Doctor from a public hospital if they will lengthen my humerus about 10 cm.
