Hey Hanna!))
well Im doing tibias and external, but I think the mental challenges are pretty similar. I would suggest you to not create much expectations about your progress, just take it day by day just like when you were lengthening is not that much different from the emotional point of view. You will not notice the improvement from day to day, but after weeks you will look back and realize that there is progress, very small but there is. Sometimes is very difficult to see progress when there is always something bothering you. Some times I cant even feel the progress, but it only takes me 5 second to look back in time maybe 1 month and I see a huge difference in every aspect)) Just try to keep calm, dont get to excited if your feel much better because you put your self in a position to also get down and feel worse. So just take it day by day. The hardest part of my consolidation is just keeping calm, because when I was lengthening in a way i felt great to know that everyday I was growing!! but now there is no growing there is only waiting and feeling better.
swimming is great if you can do it, actually my doctor recommends swimming after frame removal, it helps the muscles a lot!
stay strong and keep calm, one warm hug for you sirter!))
