Has anyone on this forum completed two LL surgeries?
« on: October 15, 2016, 06:36:11 AM »

I am currently 19 years old and 170cm.
My goal is to be 175cm (5"9) though my dream would be 177-178cm (5"10).

How realistic is two surgeries?
I was thinking of doing 4cm on my femurs and possibly going for another 4cm on my tibias once I had consolidated. I know that anything above 5cm is bad on one segment but I haven't read much about doing two surgeries. I would be going with Dr. Guitchet if I were to do this surgery for femurs, tibias I have no clue since it's a dream and not my main goal.

Inseam: 30"
Sitting height: 35"

I'm not sure but I think 7-8CM with Precice or Guichet Nail would be better for your body than going through lengthening on both segments even if it's smaller amounts. That's what I have heard some doctors say atleast. Don't quote me on it.

Finishing school before doing surgery. Most likely to just do tibias to become at least 170cm.

I'm not doing more than 5cm on one segment. That'll ruin proportions and most importantly functionality.

Thanks though!

It's easy to get caught up in numbers.
There's really no difference between 5.9 and 5.10, both are pretty average in most of the west and it's tall in Asia.
Just do femurs and be done with it.
This surgery is to be done if and when it is necessary, not as a luxury
