Hello, me again, I have been researching about this method, but maybe some ex-patients or patients want to help me:
How many cm should I do?
How is the recovery( I mean for example for 5 cm, when could I walk without crutches again)?
Pin site care can be done by the doctor or I should do it( because it really keeps me thinking about infections)?
How many months should I have frames?
What about knee pain?

Well walking without crutches is not an issue, because its usually takes 1-3 months after lengthening, what my concern is, when i will walk normally not like a zombie. Knee pain is common sometimes it will be your friend for ever if it does happen (although i don't know how much pain it is). about frames for external i don't know exactly, but maybe more than 5-6 months, and healing from external method is slower than internal by far

Go for 5cm, maybe 6 if you are really desperate.
Nurses clean pin sites for you, later mostly you do it(it's recommended to have help with it since it's tedious).

Quick question:for 6 cm external how long can I walk without crutches (not like pre operation but enough for others people can't notice that i have LL).

The general rule of thumb is 2 months per cm for external so for 5cm that's 10 months and 6cm that's 1 year.

However if you do latn or Lon. This is reduced to 1.5 months per cm so 7.5 months for 5cm of 9 months for 6cm.

I see,1 year disappear and then come back with new height seems not easy to me
But what about the salamehfix,has anyone here known about that device,dr salameh said that you can walk without support 2 months after 5cm and 4 after 8

So, after 5 months for 5 cm could I wallk without crutches?? I think four inches in total in both segments could look good.

No you're wrong, Internal have faster recovery by far

i wanna ask you whats Latin and LON i heard a lot about it? LON= lengthening on nail is that mean Internal like Gnail, Precice?

LON= lengthening over nail
The idea is still either external device but with a nail inside you bone that is locked into place which is with screws once lengthening is over. That's why external device can be removed after lengthening and you can start walking assisted 4-6 weeks later 8-10 weeks after device is removed you can start walking un assisted

well, just read some diaries and you will see with Gnail unlucky people walk almost normally in the 5th month. do you disagree?

So normally or almost normally?

And no, you probably still need to be aided after 5 months especially when you did 7cm.... i don't even think your bones consolidated enough to do so without risk of bending the nail.
